2. How to Start Using Dondo
Q2.1 How do I start using Dondo?
To get started, you just need to create an account on Dondo and connect your online store.
You can do this from our website by clicking on Start Free Trial, or by downloading the app from the Shopify App Store.
Enter your email address and the access code you’ll receive by email (don’t forget to check your spam folder). You can also create your account using your Google account. Once inside, connect your store and start evaluating and optimizing your products.

Q2.2 How do I connect my store to Dondo?
After creating your Dondo account, select the platform where your online store is hosted: Shopify, Amazon, MercadoLibre, WooCommerce, or Vtex, and follow the steps provided for your platform. Once the connection is complete, Dondo will automatically import your products so you can evaluate and optimize them with AI.

Q2.3 Why do I need to enter my store URL?
After connecting your store, Dondo asks for your website URL to extract your brand voice. Our AI analyzes your website content, social media, and customer reviews to identify your brand’s tone, personality, and values.
With this information, Dondo generates a report that you can use as a guide for your communications and that we use to personalize your product optimizations, ensuring that titles, descriptions, and other content reflect your brand.

Q2.4 How do I import my products into Dondo?
Once your store is connected, Dondo automatically imports all your products so you can evaluate and optimize them. You can also add new products at any time by using the "Re-import" store button. The import process is fast and lets you start optimizing your catalog in minutes.

Q2.5 How long does it take to import my products?
Product import in Dondo is fast, although the exact time depends on the number of products. A small inventory imports within a couple of minutes, while a large catalog with thousands of products generally takes 15-20 minutes.
Q2.6 What if I have a lot of products? Can I import them all?
Yes, Dondo can import all your products regardless of your catalog size. The app efficiently handles large inventories and allows you to evaluate and optimize your products in batches, making your processes more efficient and saving you time, effort, and resources.
Q2.7 Can I use Dondo without connecting my store?
Yes, you can explore Dondo and test its features using our demo store. The demo store lets you familiarize yourself with the interface, see how products are optimized, and generate sample content before connecting your own store and starting to optimize your catalog. 3. Start a Free Trial
Q3.1 Do I need to start a free trial to use Dondo?
You can explore Dondo without starting a free trial by using the demo store, but to connect your own store and optimize your products, you need to start a free trial on one of the available plans (See plans). During the trial, you’ll be able to use all the features of your plan at no cost: evaluate and optimize products, generate social media posts, and create products with AI.
Q3.2 How do I start my free trial?
To start your free trial, complete the onboarding process, select the plan you want to try (monthly or yearly), and click on "Get free trial". You’ll be redirected to your Shopify account or to the Stripe checkout page to enter your payment method and confirm the free trial.

Q3.3 What does Dondo’s free trial include?
Dondo’s free trial allows you to use all the features of your selected plan for 7 days at no cost (See plans). During this period, you can:
- Evaluate and optimize your added products.
- Improve titles, descriptions, images, prices, SEO, and AEO.
- Generate new products from photos.
- Create optimized posts for Facebook and Instagram.
- Export your products to compatible platforms.
Q3.4 How long does the free trial last?
Dondo’s free trial lasts for 7 days from the moment you start it. During this time, you can use all the features of your selected plan without paying. After the 7 days end, your subscription to the selected plan will start automatically. If you don’t wish to continue, you must cancel your subscription before the trial ends to avoid charges.
Q3.5 Do I need to add a payment method to start the trial?
Yes, to start Dondo’s free trial, you must add a payment method. You won’t be charged during the 7-day trial, and you’ll be able to use all the features of your selected plan at no cost. Payments are securely managed through Shopify Payments or Stripe.
Q3.6 Can I change my plan during the free trial?
Yes, you can change your plan during the free trial. Keep in mind that when you do, your free trial will end automatically, and the first billing period of your new plan will begin.
Q3.7 What happens when my free trial ends?
When the 7-day trial ends, your subscription to the plan you selected when starting the trial will begin automatically, and the first payment will be charged using your registered payment method. If you don’t wish to continue, you must cancel your subscription before the trial ends to avoid charges. Your products and optimizations will remain available, but some features will be limited depending on your active subscription.
Q3.8 How can I cancel my free trial?
To cancel your free trial, open the settings menu located at the top left of your screen. Select Manage subscription, then click Cancel my subscription.

Remember to do this before the 7 days are over to prevent the first charge. Once canceled, you’ll still have access to your products and optimizations, though some features will be limited depending on your active subscription.
Q3.9 Are my optimizations kept after the trial ends?
Yes. All the content you generated during your free trial—including optimizations, posts, and products—will be kept in your account. After the trial ends, you’ll still be able to view the content, but you won’t be able to generate new optimizations or posts unless you activate a subscription.
4. Brand Voice and Audience Analysis
Q4.1 How does Dondo extract my brand voice?
Dondo uses the name and URL of your website to analyze the content of your page, social media, and customer reviews. From this analysis, we identify your brand’s tone, personality, and social perception, and generate a brand voice report that will be used as a basis to optimize your products and posts, ensuring that all content remains consistent with your style and connects better with your audience.

Yes. Dondo analyzes your competitors and buyer persona and generates a detailed report for each. This information, combined with your brand voice, is used to create personalized optimizations that help you differentiate your products from competitors, connect better with your audience, and improve the traffic and conversions of your products.
Q4.3 What does Dondo use my brand voice and buyer persona for?
Dondo uses your brand voice and buyer persona information to optimize your products and social media posts in a personalized way. Q4.4 Can I view and edit the brand voice report before optimizing my products?
Yes. Dondo allows you to review and edit your brand voice report before applying any optimization. You can do it directly from the onboarding or at any time from your dashboard.
Open the menu located at the top left of your screen, select Store Settings, and click View Settings. From there, you can view and edit your store settings, including your brand voice report.

5. How to Evaluate and Optimize Products
Q5.1 What does adding a product to Dondo mean?
Adding a product to Dondo means selecting it so that our AI continuously analyzes it and allows you to optimize it whenever you want.
Once added, Dondo performs an initial analysis and provides a detailed report that evaluates aspects such as SEO, AEO, pricing, images, consistency with your brand voice, and platform compliance, along with clear recommendations to improve its performance in each of these areas.
After receiving the report, you can apply improvements with a single click to all your added products.
To add products, select the ones you want to include and click Add to Dondo.

Q5.2 How can I evaluate the status of my products with Dondo?
To evaluate your products, you must first add them to Dondo. Once added, our AI analyzes each product and generates a complete report showing the current status of SEO, AEO, pricing, images, compliance, and consistency with your brand voice.
You can review this report from the dashboard at any time and apply optimizations with a single click. Additionally, Dondo continuously evaluates your added products 24/7 to keep them competitive and up to date.
Q5.3 What information do I receive in each product evaluation report?
The evaluation report provides a complete analysis of 7 key categories:
- Completeness: verifies that products contain all necessary information.
- Brand voice: evaluates whether the content reflects your brand’s personality and tone.
- Compliance: checks that products meet the rules and regulations of the platform or marketplace where they’re published.
- Pricing: suggests adjustments to make your products competitive in your market.

Q5.4 How can I optimize my products with Dondo?
Once your products are added and evaluated, you can apply improvements with a single click, either individually or in bulk.
To do so, select the products you want to optimize and click Optimize. When finished, you’ll receive a new report showing the before and after of each optimized product.

By clicking on the product name, you can view the details, compare the optimized version with the original, edit it, and export it to your store if you wish.
Remember that changes are not published automatically; you must export them for the updates to appear on your website.
Q5.5 Can I optimize multiple products at the same time?
Yes. Dondo allows you to easily optimize hundreds of products at once. Just select the products you want to improve and click Optimize. The app will apply the improvements to all selected products, and you’ll be able to review the changes before exporting them to your store.
Q5.6 Can I review the optimizations before publishing them in my store?
Yes. Before publishing the changes in your store, you can review them first in Dondo. From the dashboard, click on the optimized product to view the details, compare the previous version with the new one, and edit titles, descriptions, and other content. When finished, you can click Export, or select several products and use the Export option to update the optimizations in your store.

6. How to Create Social Media Posts
Q6.1 How can I generate a social media post using Dondo?
To generate a post, go to the Boost a Product section. Click Select a Product, choose the store and collection where it’s located, and then select the product you want to create the post with. Finally, click Generate.

Dondo will automatically create an optimized post for Facebook or Instagram, including a caption, hashtags, recommended posting day and time, and strategies to increase your post’s engagement.
Q6.2 Which social media platforms are compatible with Dondo?
Currently, Dondo allows you to generate optimized posts for Facebook and Instagram. We plan to add other platforms like Pinterest or TikTok soon so you can boost your content across more social networks from one place.
Q6.3 Do I need to have an Instagram Business account to publish my posts?
Yes, to publish your posts directly from Dondo, you need an Instagram Business account.
If your account isn’t a Business account yet, the publishing flow will guide you to log in to your Instagram account and convert it into a Business account so you can publish your posts smoothly.
Q6.4 Do I need to have a Facebook Page to publish my posts?
Yes, to publish your posts directly from Dondo, you must have a Facebook Page linked to your account.
Q6.5 Can I edit the posts before publishing them?
Yes, you can edit the posts before publishing them. You can modify the caption, add or remove hashtags, upload new photos, delete some, or change their order. Once you’ve made the adjustments, click Publish to share your post on social media.
7. How to Generate Products with AI
Q7.1 How can I generate a product with photos using Dondo?
From your dashboard, click Generate Product with AI, select your store, upload the photos, and click Create Product.
Dondo uses artificial intelligence to identify the product in the images and automatically generate a title, description, metadata, ALT text for the images, and keywords. All content will be optimized for SEO and AEO, and aligned with your brand voice and buyer persona.

Q7.2 What kind of images can I upload?
You can upload images of your products in common formats such as JPG or PNG. Make sure they are clear and high-quality, showing the product from different angles if possible. This helps Dondo correctly identify the product and generate more accurate and optimized titles, descriptions, and metadata.
Q7.3 Can I generate multiple products at the same time?
For now, the feature only allows you to create one product at a time. However, we are working to improve this functionality and offer bulk generation in the future.
8. How to Export Optimizations
Q8.1 How do I export optimized products to my store?
To export your optimized products to your store, from the dashboard, select the optimized products or those you want to export and click Export. This will send the optimized content to your connected store, updating titles, descriptions, metadata, keywords, and any information you have edited in Dondo.

Q8.2 Can I export my products to other platforms?
Yes. In addition to your main store, you can export your optimized products to other compatible platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, VTEX, Amazon, and MercadoLibre. Simply select the products you want to export, click Export, and choose the platform and destination store so the optimizations are applied automatically.
Q8.3 How long does it take to export my products?
The export time depends on the number of products selected and the destination platform. For a few products, the export usually completes within minutes. If you are exporting a large catalog with hundreds or thousands of products, the process may take up to 20–30 minutes. While the export is in progress, you can continue using Dondo normally.
9. Compatible Platforms
Q9.1 Which e-commerce platforms is Dondo compatible with?
Dondo is compatible with the main e-commerce platforms: Shopify, WooCommerce, VTEX, Amazon, and MercadoLibre. When you connect, the app automatically imports your products and allows you to evaluate and optimize them quickly and easily.
Q9.2 Can I use Dondo with more than one store or platform at the same time?
Yes, you can connect all the stores you have on the compatible platforms. The only exception is Shopify: you can only connect one Shopify store per account, so if you manage multiple stores, you’ll need to create a Dondo account for each one.
Q9.3 What features are available for each platform?
Dondo offers full product evaluation and optimization features on all compatible platforms: Shopify, WooCommerce, VTEX, Amazon, and MercadoLibre. This includes analysis of SEO, AEO, pricing, images, compliance, and consistency with your brand voice, as well as generating social media posts and products from photos.
On all platforms, you can add products to Dondo, receive detailed evaluation reports, apply personalized optimizations, and export changes directly to your store.

10. Plans and Subscriptions
Q10.1 How can I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your Dondo subscription, go to your account dashboard and open the settings menu in the upper-left corner. Then select Manage Subscription and click Cancel My Subscription.
It’s important to cancel before your next billing date to avoid additional charges. Once canceled, you’ll still have access to your plan until the end of the billing period and will be able to keep your products and optimizations in Dondo as long as you maintain your account.

Q10.2 What plans does Dondo offer?
Dondo offers different plans designed to fit your business size and the number of products you manage. Each plan includes a specific number of products you can add, as well as access to all evaluation, optimization, social media post generation, and AI product creation features.
You can view the details of each plan and compare features in the Pricing section of our website. Prices range from $10 USD per month up to $250 USD for larger businesses that need a more complete optimization tool.
Q10.3 Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time without having to wait for your billing period to end. When you do so, the charge will automatically adjust to reflect only the cost difference for the higher plan.
Q10.4 What happens if I reach the product limit included in my plan?
If you reach your plan’s product limit, you can upgrade your plan. To do this, go to the settings menu in the upper-left corner of your dashboard, select Manage Subscription, and choose the plan that best fits your needs.

11. How to Request a Refund
Q11.1 In what cases can I request a refund?
At Dondo, any user who feels they didn’t have a satisfactory experience or didn’t manage to cancel their subscription on time can request a refund.

Q11.3 How long does it take to process a refund?
If you made your subscription payment through Shopify Payments, we handle the refund request and Shopify processes the return directly to your bank account. Refunds may take up to 10 business days to appear.
If your payment was made through Stripe, we handle the request and Stripe processes the refund directly to your bank account or credit card. Refunds may take between 5 and 10 business days to appear.
Q11.4 Where does the refund appear once approved?
The refund is returned directly to your bank account or credit card provider.
